Alternative Living

Mainstream civilized life is not for everyone. While apparently it works for alot of people (or at least they think it does), some of us are different. We are different for reasons of genetics, life experience or want something other than the cookie-cutter life the mainstream provides. This is a positive, happy thing - you are seeking something more fulfilling - something that will make a happier life for you. Now of course, people have very different ideas of what kind of alternative life would make them happy, which is why we'll try to cover alot of diverse ground here. Anyway, it's fun to be exposed and learn about other alternative lifestyles, whether or not it's your thing or not.

Many alternative living options include living with (same household or proximity) other people with the same interest or goals. The new group can become like a family, and people can gradually build trust with one another. Intentional communities and alternative arrangments can allow people to be nice again, to be family-like in many respects. Sure conflicts can certainly arise, especially if it's an unrealistic set-up, but often there is more peace and getting-along overall.

Some examples of alternative living include

  • Commune Living

  • Extended Family Arrangements

  • Intentional Communities

  • Nudism/Naturism

  • Primitive Living

  • Shared Living

  • Alternative Relationships

  • Wealthy Living

  • Isolation

  • Political Independence

  • Futurism

  • Green/Eco-Friendly
